I had an entirely different recipe ready to share with you guys this evening. At the last minute, I switched it up and decided you needed this recipe right now. This meant I had to upload and edit the photos, add the recipe directions, write the post, and everything else that goes along with this blogging business that I love…but now I had to do it all in one evening after working 8 hours and hitting the gym. I generally try to avoid this as I am currently exhausted.
BUT-you need this recipe right now. Allow me to explain.
I mentioned the gym just a moment ago, this recipe is the perfect after workout dessert/drink. “I thought I clicked on a title that said something about chocolate?” You have not lost your mind, you most certainly did. This 4 Ingredient Peanut Butter Hot Chocolate is made with no added sugar, has a nice chunk of protein, and even gives you a little added fiber to your diet.
So is it really as delicious as it seems? If it is good for you can it be sinfully delicious, rich and creamy, warm and frothy all at the same time??
Yes, yes it can.
Side note: If you were hoping for a more sinful/crazy version of hot chocolate, check out my Spicy Hot Cocoa.
The peanut butter and cocoa are perfectly measured to balance each other out while the dates and milk serve as the base to compliment the flavors we know and love together. I recommend adding 4 dates in this recipe for natural sweetness, but if you taste test it and decide you need another date or two, you can add them guilt free. Go on ahead, I won’t judge you. Dates are nature’s candy and you can load up on them without feeling a shred of food remorse.
I hope you have these 4 ingredients in your pantry right now because I know your mouth is watering…well, mine is at least. When you make this beverage please send me a picture on instagram or twitter by tagging me @peppers_peaches and/or using my hashtag #peppersandpeaches so we can swoon over this drink together.
And with that, I bid you all good evening. Farewell until next time!
